CEO Husband Please Be Refrained

After the first lesson of the day ended, an announcement was suddenly heard from the school broadcasting system, “Attention to all students, please gather at the assembly hall at 11 o’clock, please gather at the assembly hall at 11 o’clock…”

The whole class immediately started a discussion noisily. They were all wondering if something big had happened as the whole school was involved.   

“Hi, can I trouble you to show me the way to the Academic Office to collect a few books?” Riu Li said to Xia Weilan.

“Sure, let’s go.” Xia Weilan stood up immediately.

Both of them left from the back door while the discussion was still actively going on in the classroom. They walked toward the Academic office. Their pace was steady, however, Rui Li had a heroic aura. Although she didn’t carry any feminine aura, she had an aura that couldn’t be neglected.

Rui Li suddenly stood still and seriously said, “Da-sau, you can come to me if you need any help in the future. I promised Mo-ge that I will protect you.” (T/N: Da-sau refers to elder sister-in-law)

“Actually, I won’t come across any danger. It’s just that Beichen…” Xia Weilan smiled.

“I will be the one judging if you are in danger or not. I studied investigation and I also learned Taekwondo and Judo. I’ve already watched your fighting video, your skill was highly embellished and ineffectual. Da-sau, you got involved with some vile character, therefore you are not safe.” Riu Li explained the actual situation with an emotionless expression.

Xia Weilan, “…”

Riu Li reached out her hand, “Since you are the subject of my mission, let’s take care of each other in this period of time.” 

Xia Weilan quickly reached out her hand and shook hands with Riu Li. The two of them continued to walk toward the teaching block that was just ahead of them.

Riu Li wore a calm expression, but she already had a certain understanding of Xia Weilan. In fact, she had already run a background check on Xia Weilan yesterday. Xia Weilan was the lost child of the Xia Family. Previously she was frequently abused and was even sold to an entertainment place by her own mother. There’s only one word to describe her life: Tragic.

But after Old master Xia found her and took her back in, she was lucky to have the chance to marry Mo Beichen. To Riu Lin, Xia Weilan was indeed very lucky to be Mrs. Mo.

Shortly after, Xia Weilan sent Riu Li to the door of the Academic Office but she didn’t go in. But Xia Weilan saw Ling Xuefei and Ling Jiancheng in the principal office next door. She raised her brows and leaned toward the window of the principal’s office and took a glance inside.

“Principal, I’ve already lectured my daughter. She will apologize to Xia Weilan in front of the whole school. Besides that, she’s here to cancel her leave. She will behave properly from now on.” Ling Jiancheng lost his usual arrogance and his voice sounded haggard. 

Ling Xuefei stood beside Ling Jiancheng biting on her lower lip. She was obviously in fury but she did not dare to speak up. However, her eyes wandered around unhappily. Just at this moment, Ling Xuefei saw Xia Weilan standing outside the window.

Outside of the transparent window, Xia Weilan curled her lips slightly. It was extremely irritating to Ling Xuefei as she saw a distinctive sense of mockery. Ling Xuefei glared at Xia Weilan angrily.

Riu Li walked beside Xia Weilan and took a glance toward the principal’s office and squinted.

“Let’s go back.”

They traced their way back to the classroom, walking side by side.

“You have to be careful. Ling Xuefei looked as if she wanted to kill you very badly. She’s even willing to do it even if it means paying her own life for it.” Every word from Riu Li was like a gem, but Xia Weilan was also able to tell that Riu Li did not take Ling Xuefei as a serious threat. 

This was maybe the sense of responsibility that Riu Li was born with. 

“I still have you, right?” Xia Weilan reached out to pat on Riu Li’s shoulder.

Even after the second lesson finished, Ling Xuefei never came into the classroom. Perhaps she is still feeling embarrassed. After the lesson, a lot of students had already gathered at the assembly hall although it was not 11 o’clock yet. Only Xia Weilan and Rui Li were still inside the classroom. 

Xia Weilan scribbled on a piece of paper in front of her. She wrote long sentences of delicate and pretty characters and put down the pen. 

“Are you trying to make Ling Xuefei vomit two liters of blood on the spot?” Riu Li was disgusted by such a trick.

Xia Weilan folded the piece of paper and put it inside her pocket. 

She stood up and said, “Being merciful to the enemy is being cruel to yourself. Let’s go.”

The assembly hall was already packed with students. Xia Weilan went to the frontmost row of the assembly line. The principal immediately waved his hand to call Xia Weilan over when he saw her.

“Ling Xuefei will apologize to you in front of the whole school later. You do not need to do anything but listen.” The principal said in an imposing manner. 

Xia Weilan took out that piece of paper and passed it to the principal, “Here’s the apology speech.”

Ling Jiancheng who stood not far away was doing mental preparation with Ling Xuefei. He wouldn’t allow Ling Xuefei to chicken out at the last minute. Both of them didn’t notice that Xia Weilan was here. Xia Weilan didn’t want to stay there any longer. She located Riu Li among the crowds and walked toward her to sit down beside her.

At 11 o’clock, the principal went up the stage to explain the purpose of this gathering. Suddenly, the whole assembly hall was rumbling. 

“This can’t be true. Ling Xuefei willing to apologize? Am I dreaming?”

“This is so embarrassing…”

“Look, it’s really Ling Xuefei…”

Ling Xuefei wore a long dress. She walked up to the stage with her head down, her shoulders were trembling. ‘Ong…’ Ling Xuefei bumped onto the microphone in the middle of the stage, an ear-piercing echo was heard. But no one complained; everyone was staring at Ling Xuefei with their eyes wide.  

Ling Xuefei took out a piece of paper and read the note out loud with her head lowered. She sounded like an emotionless robot, “Good afternoon everybody…I am Ling Xuefei, I am back…I…I am sorry to Xia Weilan. I overestimated my own capability and hired hooligans to assault her, as a result…”

Ling Xuefei drew in a deep breath. Tears flowed from the rim of her eyes but she could only choked on her emotion and continued, “As a result, I am such a fool for being caught red-handed on the spot. So, I deserved to be standing here right here…I’m sorry, Xia Weilan. I will definitely not show up within ten meters around you in the future. Please forgive me for overestimating my own capability. I’m sorry!”

It was merely a few sentences. But Ling Xuefei felt that she did not read it quick enough; otherwise, why did she feel that it was as long as a century? 

She didn’t care less about how the people below the stage looked at her. As soon as Ling Xuefei finished her speech, she quickly went down the stage and disappeared. 

Below the stage, those who took out their phone to record the speech put away their phone. They all looked at Xia Weilan cautiously as if they were looking at a fierce demon. 

“Are you satisfied now? Young Miss?” Rui Li felt helpless as it was as if she was looking at a farce.

In her heart, she had more thoughts on maintaining national justice which were a hundred times more important than this matter. But she owed Mo Beichen a favor and she must take a close watch over his naive young wife.

“Do you think that I am just fooling around?” Xia Weilan was not mad, her voice was clear and cold as the spring water.

“Your duty is to study hard. If these little gangsters were such an eyesore, Mo-ge can clear them up for you with just one word. There’s no need for you to lower your value.”

“He is he and I am me. I can’t rely on him for everything.” Xia Weilan frowned. 

“From what I know, previously Mo-ge had wanted Ling Xuefei to be expelled from school but you wouldn’t let him. What are you thinking?” Riu Li said in a business-like tone.

A dark emotion lingered in her eyes. This life, she wanted those who bullied her before to pay a heavy price so that she did not die in vain in her past life. 

At this instant, Xia Weilan was flowing with vicious currents and she was bloodthirsty. Even Rui Li was shocked and looked at Xia Weilan in astonishment. 

“If they don’t offend me, I won’t offend them. If they offended me, I will make them pay by ten folds!” Xia Weilan said indistinctly.
