CEO Husband Please Be Refrained

“The exam didn’t go smoothly?” Xia Weilan stood on the same spot. 

She let out a beautiful smile, “It went well for me thou. If nothing went wrong, I guess I’ll be in the top ten.” 

“What confidence you have there!” 

“Yeah, the result hasn’t even come out and yet you are certain that you did well. Top ten? Does she really think that there’s no match for her out of one hundred over students in the faculty?” 

Seeing that Xia Weilan talked big, Xia Roulin had her hands on her waist in delight.

“Xia Weilan, do you even have what it takes to be arrogant?” 

Xia Weilan didn’t show any sign of weakness. 

“What about you? What do you have to be arrogant about?”

Ling Xuefei recalled the paper that she submitted just now, she wasn’t confident thus she didn’t dare to utter a word but changed the subject instead. 

“Obviously, you are the one who’s ranting. Xia Weilan, today you had offended the whole designing faculty. If you are able to get into the Top ten then Tom, Dick and Harry can be in the Top ten too.”

“That’s right. I see that Xia Weilan is absolutely brainless. She had been bickering with others everywhere, but we didn’t see anything outstanding about her.” 

“We’ll just wait for the good show in the afternoon.”

Ling Xuefei became even more arrogant when she heard the comments from others. 

“If you’re so capable, then use your strength to speak for yourself! You said that you are among the Top ten, don’t make others laugh when the result is out.” 

“Why? Are you not convinced?” Xia Weilan curled her lips and looked at Ling Xuefei coldly. 

“Do you dare to compete with me with your design draft?” 

“Who’s afraid? Xia Weilan, you really don’t know where your ability is,” Ling Xuefei raised her chest as she spoke without hesitation.

Although she didn’t have the chance to look at Xia Weilan’s design draft, judging from the fact that Xia Weilan did not straight away jump into working on her papers during the exam, she is confident of the situation. 

“What if you lose?” Xia Weilan said proudly. 

“Well…” Ling Xuefei suddenly felt unconfident because she did not do well in the exam today. 

“Forget about it!” Ling Xuefei pretended to be furious. 

“Who bothers to compete with you!”

“Then please get out of the way, I still have things to do,” Xia Weilan immediately shoved her aside and walked outside. 

Those who saw how Ling Xuefei withdrew in the last minute couldn’t help but felt annoyed, “Xue Fei, you are obviously much capable than her, why do you let her be so arrogant?” 

“Yeah, you should accept the challenge.” 

Seeing that Xia Weilan was already at the exit, Ling Xuefei didn’t dare to stop her because she knew Xia Weilan’s real capability.

She did not expect that Xia Weilan suddenly halted her footsteps. 

She turned around and said calmly, “The reason why I am so certain that I will be in the top ten is that I’ve been working hard all this while. The effort I had put in was no less than others. That’s why I am confident. Although there are others who are better, I- Xia Weilan is not doing too bad too.”

Before, Ling Xuefei and some others had always picked fault with Xia Weilan in school. If she doesn’t step up and become stronger, those people will pick fault with her forever and feel that it’s inevitable and right to do so. 

During the first lesson in the afternoon, the lecturer for the designing class walked in with the marked papers. The lecturer was around forty and wore an embroidered long skirt. She walked with elegance and was a rather famous jewelry designer – Professor Lin. Everyone quickly put on a serious face and looked at the podium respectfully.   

“The result of the jewelry design examination is out. One of the student’s design is of individuality and the designing theory is very unique, thus I had graded this student, Xia Weilan the only one in the faculty with A+.” 

“Xia Weilan-” Professor Lin read out her name again and scanned her eyes around the classroom.

A group of students whispered among themselves and glanced at Xia Weilan who was sitting at a corner, “She got Number one?” 

“I never heard that she is good in designing” 

“Previously she had said that she’s capable and I didn’t even bother. Now…I believe her.”

“Professor?” Xia Weilan rose from her seat. 

“Yes, Xia Weilan. You will be my assistance teacher for this school term. Come to my office after class.” 

“Yes,” Xia Weilan was slightly astonished but she still replied respectfully.

Among the entire classroom,  the most unreconciled individual was none other than Ling Xuefei. The moment she received her failed grade, she wanted to hide into a shell very badly as all other students looked at her oddly. 

“What’s wrong? How come you get such a bad grade?” Ling Xuefei’s friends were all astonished.

“What else could it be? If it wasn’t because of Xia Weilan affecting me at the beginning of the exam, distracting me, I won’t fail so miserably.” Ling Xuefei explained with a rather loud voice, intentionally letting others know. 

Not long after, a few people started to console her. 

As Ling Xuefei made that statement, she was even more convinced that Xia Weilan was the reason that she failed. She angrily stared at Xia Weilan’s back throughout the entire class. After class, Xia Weilan and another classmate who had also achieved good grades left together with Professor Lin. 

“You can take the material needed for the experiment in the next class from the storeroom and send them to the classroom. Here’s the key.” 

Professor Lin was very satisfied with these two students and handed the key to the storeroom to them. 

“Yes, professor,” Gu Yuwei stretched her hand and took the key. 

Her voice was soft and she looked slightly timid behind her spectacle frame. Xia Weilan stood aside in silence and had visualized Gu Yuwei as a little white rabbit.

When the professor is gone, Gu Yuwei quickly passed the key to Xia Weilan, “Weilan, you keep the key, I’ll follow you.” 

“Ok, let’s go,” Xia Weilan put the key into her pocket. 

She suddenly had a feeling of tenderness over Gu Yuwei thus she couldn’t bear to reject her request.  

On the way, they met some students from the designing faculty. They all stared at Xia Weilan and Gu Yuwei attentively. Soon, both of them were already at the storeroom’s door.  Xia Weilan reached into her pocket to get the key. As soon as the key was inside the keyhole, she heard footsteps from behind her. 

Before she could react, her arm was grabbed by someone and Gu Yuwei shrieked, “Weilan!” 

Xia Weilan turned the door handle of the storeroom and returned the key into her pocket as she turned her head around.

“Didn’t expect that we will meet again so soon?” Ling Xuefei said with her head held high. 

Standing behind her were four to five hired tug with clubs in their hands. Xia Weilan swept her gaze on the people who encircled her. 

She clenched her fists and said fiercely, “Ling Xuefei, this is a school. Do you want to get expelled?”

“Stop talking nonsense. Today I must let you have it. So what even if we’re at school, there’s no CCTV here. Do you think you will have proof after I assaulted you? Go get her!” 

The few hooligans dashed toward Xia Weilan without demur.

Xia Weilan’s eyes flashed a look of alarm. She wasn’t afraid of being involved with this alone, but today poor Gu Yuwei was involved. 

“Sh*t!” Xia Weilan quickly pushed the little lady who’s face had already changed color out of fear into the storeroom. 

‘Slam!’ The door was locked. 

Immediately, the sound of the door being knocked roughly was heard outside the door, and the sound of a little lady weeping was heard from behind her.
