CEO Husband Please Be Refrained

Liu Yinyin knelt for a while and began to shift her body around. This is the first time she got punished for kneeling and her delicate and frail body couldn’t stand it. 

“What’s the matter?” Mo Donglin looked at her in surprise because she had only knelt for fifteen minutes.

“Hubby!” Liu Yinyin shifted for a while and found that her legs were really numb. She stood up and grabbed Mo Donglin’s sleeves and said bitterly, “I can’t do this anymore. I need to take a rest. Can you help me to keep a watch?”

Mo Donglin hesitated for a moment. He didn’t dare to pull any tricks under the old master’s watch but he couldn’t bear to disappoint his wife. So, he gritted his teeth and walked over to kneel in front of the hall, “I’ll kneel on your behalf while you take a break.” 

Liu Yinyin didn’t feel sorry for Mo Donglin. She even thought that it would be great if Mo Donglin could keep kneeling for her. So, she found a place to sit down.

But she wasn’t stupid at all. While she was taking a break, she kept looking outside from time to time so that if someone came over, she could immediately switch places with Mo Donglin.

Mo Donglin didn’t dare to be too presumptuous. When he saw that Liu Yinyin had rested enough, he immediately stood up. Liu Yinyin pouted her lips and walked over slowly. She secretly scolded him for his lack of loyalty for not helping her kneel longer.

In the dining hall, Xia Weilan sat beside the old master and didn’t even glance at Mo Beichen.

During the meal, Mo Beichen took some food for her but Xia Weilan deliberately didn’t want to eat what he took for her because she was still upset with him. 

Mo Beichen noticed it, but he didn’t say anything.

“My child, you will continue with your internship at the office during this school holiday. You had already done your internship at the project department and the designing department. Why don’t you work in the advertising department this time?” Old Master Mo wanted Xia Weilan to be familiar with the entire operations of the company, so he already made some plans.

Xia Weilan was actually looking for a company to do her internship. Since the old master offered her, she gladly took up the offer, “Okay, grandpa.” 

“Alright then. You can go and enjoy your day today and report to the office tomorrow.” Old Master Mo was extremely satisfied with Xia Weilan and he was determined to train her to become an all-rounder.

Upon hearing this, Mo Beichen let out a smile. 

Doesn’t this mean that he can send Xia Weilan to and off work? He won’t have to worry about how to cool her anger down.

Mo Beichen was certain that things were about to get better. But after they finished breakfast and Mo Beichen was about to send Xia Weilan back to the villa, she shook her hand and said faintly, “There’s no need for that. You still need to get to the office. There’s no need to worry about me. I’ll get the driver to send me back to the villa.”

After she finished speaking, she ignored him and walked to the car. Not long after, the car engine started and left before Mo Beichen.

When the old master saw this, he curled his lips. Although he didn’t say anything, he approved of what Xia Weilan did. After all, Mo Beichen had thrown a lot of temper at Xia Weilan previously and made her suffer. It’s time for her to get back at him.

That evening.

When Xia Weilan went downstairs for dinner, she noticed that Aunt Tian was busy with some other things and the noble figure in the kitchen turned out to be Mo Beichen.

Xia Weilan stood at the kitchen door and looked inside. She saw that there were already a few dishes on the table and it seems that Mo Beichen was the one who cooked all of them.

“Bring this out first!” Mo Beichen said without turning his head.

Xia Weilan didn’t know what had gotten into her, but she really brought those dishes out from the kitchen. By the time she walked out of the kitchen, she realized that she was still in the middle of a cold war with Mo Beichen. Why is she taking orders from him now?

In the kitchen, Mo Beichen curled his lips when he saw Xia Weilan behaving so obediently. When he started to order someone, there were not a lot of people who would not follow his suit.

Xia Weilan put down the dishes and frowned annoyingly. She secretly told herself that she can’t compromise so quickly. She had to let Mo Beichen learn his lesson.

So she immediately turned around and planned to go upstairs and read some books first. 

But when she was about to leave, she heard the sound of a car approaching the front yard. She looked out the window and found that a red sports car was parked in front of the house. Rui Li and Nan Fengyan got out of the car and walked in. 

“Weilan!” When they saw Xia Weilan, they greeted her immediately.

Xia Weilan quickly welcomed them, “Come in and have a seat.”

Nan Fengyan looked around and saw Mo Beichen cooking in the kitchen. He ran over immediately and teased while leaning on the kitchen door, “Mo-ge. It’s been eight hundred years since I last saw you cook. I must be in luck today!”

Mo Beichen said faintly, “Bring out the dishes.”

“Right away!” Nan Feng brought them out energetically and he even whistled. He then quickly returned to the kitchen door and guarded it, as if he was looking at some rare treasures.

Xia Weilan pulled Rui Li to sit on the couch.

Rui Li lifted her eyebrows to Xia Weilan, “Mo-ge invited us over. You should know why we are here, right? Mo-ge asked us to say some good words for him so that you will not stay upset with him.”

Xia Weilan poured her a cup of tea and said bluntly, “I don’t feel like talking to him yet.”

“I’m on your side. Mo-ge really screwed up this time. It’s alright to give him a cold shoulder for a few more days.” Rui Li knew that Mo Beichen had doubted Xia Weilan previously. If it was her, she would be angry too.

The dining table was already full of dishes when Mo Beichen brought the last dish from the kitchen.

Nan Fengyan was speechless as he stared at the table full of food, “Beichen, all the dishes that you’ve cooked were Weilan’s favorite! How can you be so biased? You even invited us over to be light bulbs.”

Nan Fengyan deliberately said it for Xia Weilan. But Xia Weilan didn’t even show any reaction and sat down next to Rui Li.

Mo Beichen sat beside Xia Weilan naturally and helped her to take some food.

“It’s been a long time since we got together. The last gathering was four months ago and  Lin Beice cooked for them.” Mo Beichen gave a serious opening remark and then said to Xia Weilan, “Try this. See if it suits your taste.”

His intention couldn’t be more obvious. Everyone kept quiet. 

Seeing that all of their friends were there, Xia Weilan didn’t want to throw Mo Beichen’s face and took a bite. She nodded and said, “Not bad.” 

Mo Beichen let out a sigh of relief.

Nan Fengyan glanced at the two of them and suddenly said, “I heard that Liu Yinyin was punished for kneeling for a whole week. Serve her right for framing Weilan.”

Mo Beichen swept a glance at Xia Weilan and cleared his throat gently, “I was really careless this time and made you feel wronged.”

Xia Weilan lifted her eyes and looked into Mo Beichen’s eyes. The sincerity in his eyes made her heart go soft a little, but she didn’t reply to him.

“Mo-ge, you are at fault this time. How can a smart person like you go haywire when it comes to sis-in-law’s matters? You deserved to be punished!” Nan Fenyan winked at Mo Beichen. 

Mo Beichen immediately picked up his wine glass and poured a glassful of wine, “I’ll punish myself to finish three glasses.”  

Before Xia Weilan could say anything, Mo Beichen decisively emptied three glasses of wine speedily.

For no reason at all, Xia Weilan suddenly felt a lot more at ease.

At least, Mo Beichen put in a lot of effort and admitted his mistakes sincerely.

So, she no longer gave him a hard time.

They ate and chatted happily over dinner. The atmosphere lifted up a lot. 

Mo Beichen looked at Xia Weilan’s smiling face and knew that her anger had been dismissed by at least half. He let out a smile.

On the same day, during noon, Liu Yinyin couldn’t take it anymore and pretended to pass out and was admitted to the hospital by Mo Donglin.
