At A University Dean’s Office.

“How could my daughter possibly gather a crowd to cause trouble? Just look at my daughter, she was hurt like that. Obviously, she was being bullied by the wild wench in your school. Supervisor Chin, you have to severely punish this wild wench today!”

“Well…” Supervisor Chin felt a little awkward.

In just a short time, he had already learned from the other students that it was really Han Lulu who started to cause trouble first but Han Lulu’s father was an entrepreneur. Although he wanted to speak up for Xia Weilan, he had to make some considerations.

“President Han, both parties did wrong in this incident, why don’t…”

“Dad, I didn’t do anything wrong. She knocked on me first and she even hit me,” Han Lulu interrupted Supervisor Chin and fiercely stared at Xia Weilan.

Xia Weilan held her head low, at this very moment she looked like a pushover.

“Now then, let’s punish Xia Weilan to write…”

“What happened?” A voice as cold as a glacier suddenly cut through and interrupted Supervisor Chin.

Everyone turned their head to the door and saw Beijing’s highly respected man, Mo Beichen walked in. He wore a silver-stripe shirt and slim-fit trousers. A noble and assertive aura flowed through him. He was holding a coat with matching color that he didn’t manage to put on and an exquisite watch was half exposed under his cuff.

“President Mo, what brings you here?”

Supervisor Chin was so excited that his hands were trembling.

“Supervisor, this is my brother.”

Xia Weilan’s clear voice was heard by everyone in the room but the words spoken were shocking. Mo Beichen clenched his fist when he heard her.

He spun around and asked Supervisor Chin, “What happened?”

With this, he had tacitly agreed about his relationship with Xia Weilan.

“Well…Xia Weilan fought with Han Lulu and a few others. It could be due to some misunderstanding between them,” Supervisor Chin told the truth.

“Are you saying that our Weilan was being beaten?”

Mo Beichen turned and took a glance at Xia Weilan who stood quietly beside him.

Had she been bullied? The few of them went on Weilan together?

With the thought of that, Mo Beichen shifted his pair of eyes to the other students on the other side. His eyes were like those of a Siberian Wolf, cold and dangerous.

“No, I didn’t bully her…” Han Lulu shook her head vigorously, her desire to be alive had warned her not to provoke his anger.

Han Lulu’s father stepped forward with a good-natured face.

He smiled hoping to trivialize the problem, “President Mo, this incident was just like how Supervisor Chin had explained. It was a misunderstanding. Our little girl is so insensible, she had been spoiled by us thus created such a joke and burdened busy people like us. Why not we put a stop to it here since it’s just children making some trouble. They just need to be taught a lesson, that’s all.”

“Since it’s a misunderstanding, let’s get to the bottom of it.”

Mo Beichen looked at Xia Weilan again and said, “You’ll speak. What was the misunderstanding about?”

Xia Weilan took a step forward and spoke for the very first time.

“During lunch break, Han Lulu brought a few people along to find trouble with me. I was dragged outside in front of everyone. I’m just merely practicing self-defense.”

Mo Beichen turned around and looked at the troublemakers who obviously looked embarrassed now.

He pursed his lips and asked Xia Weilan, “Are you hurt?”

Mo Beichen passed her a look with a hint to her that even if she’s not hurt, she should pretend to say that she’s having pain all over.

“I’m dizzy, my back was sore and my hands were extremely painful.”

It was true that her hands were painful. Painful from beating others. Everyone couldn’t help but wince because it was true as what Xia Weilan had said, Han Lulu was the one looking for trouble. Xia Weilan was indeed practicing self-defense. There were too many witnesses to the incident, there was absolutely nothing to wrangle about.

Han Lulu felt a mouthful of blood stuck in her throat. The anger swelling up in her was unbearable, but she gritted her teeth and said nothing. Just now she had her father to cover for her, anything she said was reasonable. But now, not only was she unreasonable, but she also lost power. Even if her teeth were crushed, she would need to swallow it together with her blood.

“Han Lulu, how could you do such a thing, gathering a crowd to bully your classmate. What do you have to say now,” Supervisor Chin quickly turned his glance at Han Lulu, scolding her loudly.

“I…I…I don’t know…” She didn’t know that Xia Weilan had such a relative!

Han Lulu’s face went pale and eventually said, “I did it on impulse.”

“Supervisor Chin, it was a failure in our upbringing. You can punish her at your will!”

Han Lulu’s father didn’t want to offend Mo Beichen because of this, he quickly left after saying that.

Not long after, Xia Weilan and Mo Beichen walked along the forest pathway. Xia Weilan could tell even from looking at his tall rear view that Mo Beichen was angry at this very moment. It was indeed embarrassing for the high and mighty CEO of Mo Corp to rush over amidst his busy schedule to settle such a small matter of hers.

“Hubby, can you slow down for a bit?”

Mo Beichen suddenly turned around and asked, “Isn’t it supposed to be Brother?”

“Didn’t you say that I can’t declare to outsiders that I am your wife?” Xia Weilan said calmly and innocently.

Mo Beichen’s heaving chest froze for a few seconds.

He warned, “Don’t find trouble in the future.”

Xia Weilan frowned, “What if it’s others who find trouble with me?”

“If others came to look for trouble, don’t be lenient. The young miss of the Xia Family was not for others to fool around. Furthermore, you have Mo’s Family to support you. I, Mo Beichen, was never afraid of getting into trouble.”

Such an arrogant statement that came out from Mo Beichen’s mouth somehow became right and proper. Regardless of what, Xia Weilan was his legal wife. And his wife should definitely not be a weak woman who lets anyone take advantage. When he looked again at the girl in front of him who had no shame, tugging at his cuff, Mo Beichen felt that his worries might be in vain. This girl even dared to provoke him, how could she possibly be bullied by others. Mo Beichen once again took a good look at the girl in front of him. To his surprise, she was unscratched even though she went one on four. She’s definitely not someone easy to deal with. But to be his woman, she’s still inexperienced.

That afternoon, Xia Weilan wheedled her way to get Mo Beichen to bring her to a western restaurant for lunch. The best western restaurant in Beijing was none other than Sheng Duo Western Restaurant. They had exquisite private rooms fitted with classic chandeliers playing soothing music. The chef of this restaurant was a celebrity chef recruited expensively from France. In the private room, the waiter came in enthusiastically and handed over the menu with a bow.

Xia Roulin passed by the door and heard a familiar man’s voice. She stopped and took a glimpse inside the private room through the slightly ajar door.

“That’s all, you’ll order the rest.”

Mo Beichen passed the menu to Xia Weilan. Xia Weilan knew that Mo Beichen had already ordered dishes that suit her taste buds. She preferred tangy food while Mo Beichen preferred light food, thus she ordered two dishes that he liked to eat. A flash of light gleamed across Mo Beichen’s eyes like a shooting star that streaked across the dark night.
