Lu Teng sent Xu Xu home. When they arrived downstairs, he stared at the corridor for a while.

Outside the car, it was early evening. Fuzzy yellow lights on both sides lined up to form a ribbon of light.

Lu Teng massaged the area between his brows, pressing down the impulse at the bottom of his heart. He turned the steering wheel and merged onto the highway, driving directly toward Chengxi.

Not two minutes later, a phone call suddenly came.

“Hello.”

Lu Teng couldn’t help laughing.

“I’ve found that you don’t seem to have a save function, it’s like the monster that I painstakingly beat halfway suddenly regenerated its health.”

Xu Xu took a while before she understood what he meant. She was silent for a bit, then turned to look at him. “So the monster has sent itself to you, allowing you to hit it as you please.”

Xu Xu bought lovers seats near the back. When the two went in holding popcorn, the seats around them were already filled with people and the theater filled with noisy excitement.

The two of them, one behind the other, squeezed through until they reached their seats and both exhaled in relief.

“Then why are you taking part in the excitement?”

“Your cousin said you really wanted to watch the premiere.”

Two and a half hours later, a group of Marvel fans drifted out of the cinema with weak yet satisfied smiles on their faces.

Lu Teng laughed. “I’ll make a list of movies for you when I get back.”
