Wow, he is rude," Penny frowned seeing me not answer her.

Jon smiled and tap her daughter's shoulder.

"He is a quiet person. He did not even talk to me when we hunt on the forest but he is a man of a few words but full of action. He is more on that actually so I am not surprised that he only nodded at you," Jon explained.

Penny looked at me with weird looks but she then stopped on it and started eating her dinner again. Jon shook his head and his wife only smiled. Every time I swallow the meat of the food that I am eating, I am constantly hearing the same notification from the Book's system.

Series of those mechanical voice continue to rang until it stopped for around 20th the time it repeated which means I managed to gain 20 pearl by just eating a Beastkind meat. Its kind of easy to earn pearls but hard to quickly gain one. The meat I am eating is a Boaroas which means it has a bigger amount of pearl reward than what Cluckads give since Cluckads only give 1 pearl while a single portion of Boaroas meat managed me to gain 20 Pearls.

The dinner was scrumptious so I am happy that my stomach no longer feel hungry.

Jon see me out on the store.

"Your skills needed polish but it can be enhanced and can be shined. Your Divine Creature was also quite good on the battle too. I expect you to come here in the morning alright? We will be hunting early tomorrow so that our gain will be big enough," Jon reminded me.

I nodded at him before going on my way. I still have not checked the money on my first paycheck yet so I guess that I can just count it later.

Its already in the middle of the night, people are not that numerous than earlier when we arrived. It seems its already considered as late at night here. I am still not that used to on the time flow on this world but still, I don't really care about it.

I turned into the alley and then I ran across five guys, two big kids and three lanky ones. They have look of viciousness on them. I did not shrink back and calmly look at them.

The five guys who are a bit older than me surrounded me. I did not really care if they surround me but I still put my vigilance more. The middle lanky guy grinned revealing his gold false teeth in the middle of his not so proportional yellowish-green teeth.

"You can choose between the two, money or your life, if you choose the latter, just leave your money on the road and scram," he grinned with evil looks. Despite his threatening looks, I did not feel a single tinge of fear, rather, I feel normal?

I looked around me and took note on all of their movements, their breathing, their slight disturbances, I all properly looked into them.

"Are you deaf or what? You want to die?" This guy is expert huh, I don't really believe it.

Seeing that I did not move at all, the lanky guy squinted his eyes and pulls out his dagger.

"Beat him up!"

As soon as he said that sentence, I lunge quickly on the lanky guy and took out my dagger though the sheathe is still on it, I did not take it off and calmly strike the nape of he guy in a swift manner before attacking the other lanky guy. The fat guys tried to attack me but I quickly kick their knees and damaged their knees for them to topple down before hitting their napes. The lanky guy with the false teeth did not expect his lackeys to fall without much fight. He brandish his dagger but he is clearly sweating.

"Motherf*cker!" He roared as he panicked on what to do.

I made a quick lunge and punch him into his diaphragm hard, making him lose his breath a second and fell into the floor curling up in pain and struggling to breath air.

After the events, I shook my head. They might be poor people but killing them is not necessary, I decided to let them be instead of killing hem like how one needed to. I am not some maniac murderer anyway.

I arrived back into he inn without a hitch again. I go straight into my room and noticed that nothing really changed inside the room which means nobody got inside while I am gone which is pretty good. I took out the pouch containing the money and pour it down. Its 5 gold coins. Its quite big enough already and if this amount of money is my payment everyday, it won't be long before I can enter the academy of Aria where Divine Creatures Tamers are going.

I focused my thoughts and once again, returned to the space of the book. This time around, the island came into my view automatically. I didn't really need to remind myself about this and checked the Metal Berry seed I planted last time. It has sprouted and is standing tall with its proud stem. I nodded and satisfaction as I retrieve the water can and water the sprouting plant. After that, I decided to check whatever was inside the shop now. Having a handful amount of Pearls after finishing the first quest and having earned after eating a few Beastkind meat.

But to my disappointment, the areas that are grey are still freaking grey. Not a single one is still available for me to unlock them.

"F*ck! How can I even buy here if the choices presented are not even able to be selected?" I roared in agitation. But to my surprise, the voice answered.

"KEEPER MUST BE PATIENT. RESPONDING SHOP CATEGORIES WILL BE UNLOCKED ONCE THE KEEPER COMPLETES A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF QUEST AND BEASTKIND KILLS. WORK HARD AND THOSE CHOICES WILL BE UNLOCKED FOR YOU TO SELECT."

I was stunned for a moment before I look into the interface again, so this choices can only be unlocked after a few quests? Well, that would really make me motivated to unlock them. The quest was to record 10 Divine Creatures by slamming the book to them. There was that monkey on the store. Looks like the second entry is decided. Just you wait choices, I will unlock all of you!
