Book Of Divine Creatures

The search for a job is not easy. With the imm.a.t.u.r.e mindset of the former Li Jin, I have no idea of good and bad jobs in this world. The only thing left for me to do is to learn everything form scratch.

I listened around the people in the streets. Luckily, the body of Li Jin is quite good to use and his hearing is quite good too. Although this is clearly my body now, I can't help feelingbad about it. It was clearly not mine but I instead take over his dead body and forced myself to become him.

The language of this world is clearly foreign to my hearing but my mind automatically processes them like some sort of translator rapidly translating all those foreign words into my own language.

My feet keeps on walking and although my destination is not determined, I was determined to find a good job in this big continent. It would be too impossible for me to never find a f*cking job in this place.

Soon, I saw a restaurant with a big sign outside looking for a helper. I just needed to inquire inside.

"Welcome! Do you want to dine in or dine out?" a pretty woman is currently smiling at me once I entered into the doorway. From the looks of her, she seemed to be already married. And I am not mistaken, a burly guy, wearing a chef's hat and chef's apron appeared on what looks to be the kitchen of this restaurant.

"Uh...I am not going to eat, I was about to inquire about the sign outside the store if it is still available," I asked straight.

"Ah, someone who wants to work? Come in and talk with my husband, he currently needs a helper in gathering some ingredients for the food and drinks," the woman welcomed me in.

The store is similar to a Japanese restaurant with a style of a tavern. There are a few customers happily eating breakfast and I was surprised that the waiters bringing the food and drinks are monkeys! This monkeys are similar to Macaque Monkeys but they are a bit bigger. Also, their fur are color red with strange black stripes. When my eye landed into them, the Book of Divine Creatures appeared and the Divine Creature's data is recorded into it. I was startled since my book materialized all of a sudden and I almost panicked.

"Hey, what are you waiting for?" the woman tilted her head in confusion seeing my startled expression., "Are you okay?"

They can't see the Book of Divine Creatures floating in front of me? I guess this book is only able to materialize and appear only for me. Other people can't see it.

"N-no, I am fine," I said and proceeded to enter the counter and move towards the kitchen.

While I was on the way to the kitchen, I quickly take my eyes on the book to check the info of those Monkeys. I need all info on all Divine Creatures I met to survive this world where I am not familiar.

The info for the Divine Creature sure is limited compared to the info I got from the Book Of Divine Creatures itself. Still, its not mine so I don't really care about it if I don't see its full info.

The place was clean and I never expected that instead of a messy place, I saw a very shiny and clean place that I never expect to see in an eatery. I continue towards the end and saw the burly guy with a rack of weapons and a few Divine Creatures eating food. There are also wild Beastkinds on the cages lined up. A few Cluckads and a few Boaroas that looks like boars on Earth.

"Yo, new recruit. You want to apply as a helper? I warn you that it involves catching and killing Beastkinds. If you are not ready, then just quit it," the burly guy said as he pat a wolf type Divine Creatures.

"Don't worry sir, I can manage on my own. I even manage to steal Cluckads egg earlier," I said to him.

"I see, do you have a Divine Creature?" the burly guy looked at me with interest.

"Yeah," then I summoned Sleepy out.

"Ah, a Metal Black Beetle. Both good for attacks and defense, alright, you can start today then, follow me to the forest,"the burly man said.

As usual, Sleepy rest on my back like some sort of backpack. I didn't mind it at all and follow the burly guy who is preparing what Divine Creature that will accompany him on the hunt. Then he patted the wolf in which enthusiastically yelp and lick his hands.

"Lets go boy, what is your name?" he asked as he hoisted his greatsword.

"Li Jin,"

"I am Jon. Now Li,if you want to survive in the job, be sure to never go alone by yourself alright? I can't babysit another helper," Jon looked at me with stern eyes.

For some reason, its not a scary to look at him and I feel fine even though he is serious. It feels like I am never afraid of anything.

"Sure, I don't mind," I shrugged.

We departed after the preparations. I brought a dagger of course. I am not proficient enough to wield swords and stuffs other than knives and daggers. This should be fine.

The trek towards the forest was silent and I have not seen any danger and any kind of stuffs that will block our way which should be really much better.

"Are you proficient enough to kill Cluckads and Boaroas?" Jon asked me.

"I am not confident but I can handle it," I said to him without giving much emotion.

"I see, then, once we see one, you take the first kill," he said.

I see, he wants to see my skill. Well, I don't mind, that way, I can also gain pearls easily. We keep moving for more distance until we saw a cluckads just two meters away from us.

"Time for you to shine boy," Jon nodded.

I pull out my dagger and fixed my eyes into the cluckads. Time to dance.
