After the lessons ended, Erik immediately left the building and headed to the train station. He wanted to go check if the thaids got rid of the three pricks' bodies.

He was pretty nervous as he traveled there because he feared someone would recognize him, but luckily no one did.

Although several people glanced at him curiously when they saw him since it was pretty clear he was nervous. At last, however, after some time spent waiting in line for tickets and boarding the train, he reached the northern part of the city.

Erik then immediately dived into the wheat fields trying to hide as much as possible in order not to be seen by anyone who might have been looking out their windows; so that his destination could remain a secret until he arrived safely.

After walking through these vast fields for ten minutes, he finally arrived at the breach. Everything was as how he had left it.

Erik then crossed the hole and started walking toward the corpses' location, he passed by trees and bushes. After a short walk, he finally arrived there, but he couldn't find the bodies anymore.

There were traces of footprints all over the ground, suggesting that thaids had been there, not just one or two but multiple of them. Blood traces were still on the ground, especially where he killed the young men.

It looked like the thaids took away all the dead bodies before leaving, though, as some tracks on the ground leading east were present.

Erik searched for the corpses more carefully to ensure that the bodies got eaten, but he couldn't find them anywhere. That was actually a relief for him, since it meant that the thaids brought them very far.

<I hope they didn't leave anything behind,> the young man thought while heading back to the breach.

There was nothing more he could do there since there was no trace of the bodies. And while this discovery relieved him, an ominous feeling still hung over him like a black cloud. Something just felt wrong somehow, although Erik couldn't explain why.

The forest looked eerie that day with its ominous atmosphere and gloomy undergrowth. The wind seemed even colder than usual, blowing down from the north and carrying an icy chill throughout the woods.

Even the birds weren't singing that day. A dark aura hung above this place, and every sound echoed strangely within the dense wood.

As soon as he entered the breach, he headed toward mister Fox's farm. The young man's emotions were a mess. He was still scared of being discovered by the police, who were already working on the case as far as Erik saw.

As he walked, the young man lost himself in the surroundings, allowing his thoughts to wander off to something less dark than death for some time. Soon enough, however, the feelings returned stronger. His uneasiness grew rapidly until it became almost unbearable. The boy stopped dead in his tracks and stared at the ground ahead of him.

<Why is everything always going south? I'm starting to get sick of this whole thing. What am I supposed to do now?>

Erik was also conflicted, if, from a certain point of view, killing the three pricks made him feel better, but at the same time, he knew he had done something unforgivable. Killing people wasn't exactly something to brag about.

It was hard for Erik to think clearly, as his mind kept wandering back to the crime scene. He couldn't stop thinking about how he had brutally murdered the three thugs, how he extracted the brain crystals from their bodies. If only he hadn't acted so impulsively. All that blood… But, despite all these feelings, the young man continued walking towards the house.

Erik pondered the situation and found himself standing in front of Mister Fox's farm. As Erik got closer, he heard multiple voices coming from the back of the property.

<It looks like the old man already found someone to work with,> Erik thought. He then went past the fence, and once he went around the house, he saw at least five people, including Mister Fox, tending to the fields.

The old man heard Erik approach, he turned to look at the source of the noise, and once he saw the young man, he greeted him happily.

"Ah, Erik, you finally came!" Mister Fox said.

"Yes, sir, I'm ready to start working..."

"All right, just wait until we finish clearing the fields, then you can start your magic."

And so, Erik waited for the other people to finish their work. Then the young man used his power again, making the crops grow astonishingly. When the new people saw Erik use his power, they were left flabbergasted by it. They knew this wasn't something very appreciated in the militaries, but on a farm, it was fantastic.

Time soon flew by, and Erik returned to school to start his daily training. The young man didn't take much time to reach the gym where he saw some students already gathered and training.

Among them, there were Amber, Gwen, and Floyd. Erik recalled his previous day's behavior and decided apologizing to the three students was the right thing to do. He slowly walked toward Amber, who happened to be talking to her friends while stretching.

When she noticed Erik approaching, she had a conflicted smile. She was happy that the young man decided to approach her and her friends, but at the same time, she was still angry about his rude behavior.

She observed as Erik got closer until, with a little bit of embarrassment, he said, "Hi guys... How are you...?"

The young man observed Amber up close; she was beautiful, despite being dressed in her training attire. Her short straight red hair flowed behind her head as she moved, and when she smiled, Erik felt like his heart skipped a beat. He forgot everything else but the beautiful girl before him for a moment.

"Oh, hi, Erik..." Amber said without looking the young man in the eyes.

"You've got balls to come here after what you did yesterday..." Gwen said when she saw the young man.

"About that..." Erik said while being unable to look Amber in the eyes. "I'm sorry."

"You are sorry? You think apologizing is enough for us to forgive your shitty attitude?" Gwen angrily remarked.

"I know, I was a piece of shit yesterday, but I've got some problems at home, and I was really nervous. I really hope you can forgive me..." Erik said.

"You..." Gwen was interrupted by Amber, who looked at Erik with pitiful eyes.

"It doesn't matter, Erik... Ok? It's not like you said something over the line..."

"Yeah, but it was wrong nonetheless..."

"Just try not to do it again, ok?" Amber said.

"Yeah..."

Since the conversation was embarrassing enough, Floyd decided to chime in. "Training is going to start soon; let's go."

Soon after, Professor McAllister entered the gym, and he started his usual speech without wasting any time.

"Today, we will start by doing fifty laps around the room; after that, you will have two minutes to rest, and then you'll begin our first daily exercise," the professor said.
