Kuro and Zuko were sitting on top of the palace roof looking at the night sky and the vast sea of stars littering the universe.

"You look at the stars and you wonder - Just how vast is the universe? It feels us with this feeling of wanting to rush and find everything possible. The planets, the suns and even tiny little lines on a rock. Everything has a story and some mea-"

Kuro stopped as he noticed that Zuko wasn't paying attention and dazing off looking at the stars.

"Zuko is there Anything bothering you?"

Zuko looked Kuro in the eye before looking away; then looking back as he released a sigh.

"Yeah...My sister is better than me at Firebending and so father called my talent 'weak'. As the older brother shouldn't I be better than my sister so that I can be a role model but because my talent is less than hers she might despise me."

"How do you know she does?"

"That evil look in her eyes..."

"I'm sure it doesn't mean anything bad right? Just cause your talent is less better than hers doesn't mean you can't be better. You've seen me training and sparring with Lu Ten right?"

"Yeah. You brothers have powerful firebending."

"Did you know my talent was way worse. So worse that even an average person was better than me. But I was determined and worked very hard trained my firebending.Talent doesn't determine everything but skill and experience does. With training you can obtain both of those components."

Zuko's eyes widened as they faced Kuro they turned into joyful suns; Zuko smiled as he listened to Kuro talking.

"Really?"

"Yes Really. Besides...In combat you need more than Firebending to win. Even martial arts and training your body will be helpful to take them down as in a battle anything can happen."

"Wow. Can you teach me everything Kuro? I want to make father and mother proud."

"Zuko...Don't think about making your father proud it's not worth it. Make your mother proud and me, cause from now on I am your teacher."

6 Months Pass by...

Kuro was teaching Zuko whenever Ozai wasn't around. He didn't teaching him Firebending right off the bat but theorems, hypothesis and many ideas about Firebending to further his understanding of how fire works with a mix of science and spirituality.

Zuko was the sponge of knowledge as he'd absorb everything Kuro taught him.

Then Kuro was helping out Zuko put that understanding into good use during practical training where head make Zuko try to compress a flame.

Not only that but Kuro would teach Zuko some martial arts, well the basics of his style which was comprised of many from earth.

Zuko wanted to learn sword fighting so Kuro forced a guard yo give his sword yo him and so he taught him the basics.

Kuro was teaching Zuko the basics really fast and it only took three months. Kuro is hurrying up as he wanted to impart all the knowledge to Zuko in case his nightmare becomes a reality which god forbid.

Right now Zuko and Lu Ten were having a fake Agni Kai just for fun and also to see how far Zuko's Firebending has grown.

Zuko was firing flames half a meter away from Lu Ten meanwhile Lu Ten was playing along as he underestimated Zuko.

"Nice move there little Zuko."

"Thanks Big Bro Lu Ten but this is just warming up."

Zuko started sending flames dozen meters away from him which was really impressive and took Lu Ten by surprise and Lu Ten needed to get serious now otherwise he'll be doomed.

And so Zuko and Lu Ten sent massive blasts of flames towards each other all equally powerful.

The winner was no one as this wasn't a real match.

"Wait! Kuro did you teach him Firebending? How did a normal kid like him suddenly become powerful well it must be because my monster brother did it.

"Hey I feel offended I am completely normal prince."

"Yes of course dear brother. Your strong kid and smart, you caught me off guard and your Firebending was equal to mine. I'm sure your gonna one of the most mightiest firebenders in the world."

"Thanks Big Bro Lu Ten."

"Oh yeah! I forgot to tell you guys something really important. I'm joining the military!"

Hearing this Zuko smiled cause Lu Ten will become a hero but Kuro didn't smile. He fell to his knees and shouted...
