Avatar: Terror Of The Red Spirit

Chapter 25 - Gravelside's Most Wanted

Huff! Huff!

Kuro huffed as he was sitting cross legged on the floor right next to the dead bodies of the bandits he had slaughtered, red liquid soaked the rock floor he sat on. He was having a little break to digest the information he had received from the bandit leader plus he was anxious and stressed out because he fears what is to happen to his dear brother. So much so his blood was boiling and so he needed to rest a little before he'll run back to the city and force Huai to bring his brother to him otherwise he'll torture him. And if the city happens to go against him then he'll simply destroy the city, an arrogant statement indeed, but to him his brother is more important than some idiots that follow one bigger meaner idiot.

'Once I arrive either the guards will not be on their guard as Huai might expect me dead or the once I arrive the guards will be cautious and very defensive of that pathetic worm's fortress.'

Five minutes later and Kuro decides to head back to Gravelside so since he was at the top of the tower and needed to reduce his time heading down, he jumped off the top of the tower and then conjured powerful flames beneath the soles of his shoes to reduce the time of his fall and the impact as well; had he generated a very powerful flame he'd have been a human rocket.

Tzu! Tzu! Tzu! Tzu! (was the sound as he sprinted on damp sands)

As Kuro lands on the ground he sprints through the damp white sands of the beach and heads directly for the forest of death. And as he nearly to the forest of death he decides to skip it by jumping and then using flames to propel himself very high but not too strong as too much force may result in him being hurt because...physics!

And so he doesn't have to bother with traps, ferocious animals, seducing ivy vines as he was out of their reach and the forest of death was only a kilometre long.

Kuro descended on dark soil as to organisms above his shadowy floating figure looked like a fallen angel; as he landed there was an audible puff that reached his ear and a slight shock traveling up his body which made him numb for a second before sprinting back to Gravelside without obstacles.

After an dozens of hours running the massive walls of Gravelside were visible to Kuro, who was now slightly short on breath.

"FI&% H£M $%T FAR!"

Out of knowhere the masked vigilante heard unintelligible words close by and slowly they were heading to his direction and so Kuro chose to hide behind a rock that was the size of a park bench and check out the commotion.

"We have to find him! Mayor stated he only left hours ago. This must mean he's still close by to the city!"

"But what if he's dead?" asked a short man looking at the big fat man who was holding a torch.

"We still drag his remains to the mayor remember what it said? 'must be captured' this means that the mayor does not care if he's dead or alive!"

Kuro saw a crowd of people with torches, pickaxes and pitchforks all ready to murder someone. Kuro could already guess what might be going on in these types of situations after all, he did watch cartoons.

Kuro managed to create a distraction by throwing a rock far enough to be heard and enough for him to escape and so he jogged back to the city and just as he imagined...
