Chapter 92 - Cho

Cho who has been fighting enemies she can't see, however, she can feel them. They had exploded out the crack filling the room.

A strong aroma of Dicantian Ore deposit fills the room, it reminds her of Sugerbushes as Dicantian ore looks a lot like the bulb of the Sugerbush.

The hardness of their exoskeleton is similar to freshly extracted iron ore that has been mined by hand. The roughness of each enemy unique to their experiences. She has been fighting for about an hour she feels a bit of muscle fatigue nothing she has not trained for before.

The enemy is relentless in the attacks but they themselves seem to also be unphased by Cho's attacks which have shattered every enemy that has come within five meters of her.

They must be heavy also as she can hear each if their footsteps loud and clear. Clearly these creatures are not built for stealth.

The enemy also has at least four arms this is because the first managed to get a few hits in when she didn't know. Each of her blows lands like hammers on the bodies of the creature which are not insectoid 'Thank the mother!"

Cho is looking trying to determine what the purpose of this is room while defeating enemies she is also feeling the enemies for clues.

For the past thirty minutes, the enemies are becoming faster however each of the enemy attacks is much weaker almost as if the chamber is mass-producing a bunch of half baked units. Cho senses she is getting closer to the end of this room as the number of enemies has also started to deteriorate.

She moves toward where she sensed the final enemy this one crumbles before her like Mica after she punches it. "phew no I can go around finding out if these materials are useful."

The materials she is talking about are the hundred or so fallen enemies before her even if she can't see them her mineral detection magic seems to work on the corpses of her enemies. she works slowly and cautiously always on the lookout for more enemies as she is alone she has to be careful.

She manages to pull a few minerals shaped like flat rectangular glass with slits in it. She runs her fingers along the walls looking for where the piece might interlock with the wall. "By the Brother when will I find this keyhole I have already been looking for an hour!"

Cho had become slightly frustrated at the fact she is finding it incredibly difficult to pinpoint the location of a single keyhole. In her possession, she currently has twelve meaning that there should be twelve keyholes to match up to.

She thinks to herself trying to strip mine her brain for any bit of information that allows her to find a single ruby of information. She is methodical until she thinks of Greta "I wonder what's she doing?"

This thought give a her an idea. Her and Greta spend an more time together than a miners shift. She remembers how Greta uses her mana to detect the area around her. While now where near functional as Greta's at the very least it should allow her to maybe find the keyhole.

She sweats it out for about three hours trying to replicate the method Greta uses. Her frustration finally digs her out of the slump. She knows she is on the right path she is just doing it wrong.

"Maybe I should just stick to my strengths, Greta always tells me I need to be confident in my own abilities, I wonder what her trap is like she probably already out and waiting for me...Okay I can't her let down."

Cho sits back down takes in every bit of information. Her mind works like a sluice filtering all she feels around her. The room is exceptionally solid except the crack. The fracture is caused by a mixture Clondinium and Fractite.

The two minerals corrode each when exposed to Sneezium which is a compound material. Cho the moves her hand into the crack finding that the crack is in fact big enough to hold a fuax Sneezium mix.

The keys are all each made of one of the components needed to make Sneezium, "It must be what I have to do nothing else makes sense, I have done all I can I just need to believe in myself and do it." She has a determined look on her face which none can see.

Cho works carefully mixing such small quantities the control of error is much higher than normal. The process she is using is one she read about from one Zodwa's books about the various uses of mana without spell working.

This is also Cho's field of study as it is one of the only ways to manipulate Divine metarials is with mana that have been spelled. She explained what this means to Daniel who came to her saying that "she was the key to his next break through."

She told that if he wanted to able to use unspelled he needed to learn to control by thought alone. "It is not good enough to think about it, that is the same as using spells just without talking, I found that if I thought of my mana as sweat my mind made sure it pours out when I need it. Mana is after all incredibly intuitive."

This was a lesson that once they heard everyone understood otherwise how could one explain how mana can become anything. " In essence mana is the living will of the body affect by the mind and the spirit, it is as life itself a great mystery to which we may never know the answers" Guru Gaiagupta.

Cho works slowly she is a novice, even thou she a lot more comfortable using her mana this way when working with minerals. Time moves by quickly even thou Cho believes she has only been working for about an hour maybe two she has in fact been in a state of deep focus for the past six hours. The process of combining the materials is coming the apex when the master components will be mixed together.

As she places them inside the crack, a hissing noise can be heard a the crack is filled with smoke coming from the mixture the crack grows until.

CRUMBLE!

The walls gives way leading into a hall where everyone else is waiting, everyone except for Daniel and Rose.
