Avalon Reincarnated

Chapter 3 - The First Trial.......

The Doctors face was visibly pale as Kwanda, told him about the events that happened at Qunu village. The doctor then help him sit up and after a series of test the doctor said, "I have never seen anyone with such extensive wounds."

"Even one our best healers here in the hospital believes it will take at least a year of healing before you can even walk."

The doctor said to him "that he needed to find a way to contact someone from his village to bring funds as the money the Samaritan left would only last three months."

Kwanda told the doctor where his village and said to the man "I will be glad to hear anyone from the village survived, at least at home I will have my father's books to study."

Unable to move freely and finally feeling safe Kwanda was overcome by Unbelievable sadness soo deep and wide it seeped to depths of souls damageing it forever, he cried for the last time for most of the night.

His whole life is gone, he never even saw his mother at the end. He still needed to make sure his father was really dead. All he has left is his life and the ring on his thumb. He suddenly remembered that his father said "It was his personal hammerspace."

When the doctor came back the following day. He asked the doctor "if he knew how to open the ring," the doctor suggested a Hammersmith, Kwanda immediately refused. He said "he didn't want to risk damaging the only thing he has left of his family."

[His father had always told the story of the ring and how it had always been in his family even before the gods had a taken away the Great plain creating the central sea and moving to a star beyond Kolob.]

Kwanda asked "if their was another way" and the doctor said "you could learn how to manipulate mana."

Mana Manipulation is a basic skill all people can do however only very few are able to become wizards. Only about one in a hundred people could become mages. A popular subset are those who are able to only activate one aspect to become Swordmages the rest can become pure warriors the most difficult path of all.

The imperial college has since the founding of the kingdom realsed a manual yearly to those who wish to test if they have any talent in magic. The doctor ordered nurse Todd, to go bring a manual from the bookshelf.

"Thank you nurse Todd" an ecstatic Kwanda begin to flip through the pages.

Many complicated things were in the book.

Everyday for the next three Kwanda read, discussed the topic of Mana manipulation. Onto top of that he had been using the ring as excerise. Magical items feel like a notch on the skin. Naturally accessible to the Mana circuits in the body. The breath is a common metaphor used to describe how mana manipulation works.

[By breathing in and out only using your nose you can control your mana similarly by breathing your Mana into a magical device. With this method one can exercise their manipulation skills.]

The Doctor came into the room he said "I have double bad news. Your village aside from the blood and burning no bodies, no human bodies that remained were intacted. I'm truly sorry about."

It was as he had expected as Weres in all lands are known as mass murders especially a feral bunch like those Werehyena.

"Secondly the hospital has refused your extention on the basis of being destitute."

The doctor said "His wife who handles all the had their finances refused", as his own children were about to be sent off to college three girls wonderful, "triplets you see."

Kwanda had hoped that by now he would have made some progress into opening the ring. However whenever his mana recovered he would directly pour it into the ring.

[at this point of a mages training the more times he can empty his Mana a day the better]

He knew that he had progressed as everyday when his mana was at its fullest it would take about three hours to drain where as, at the initial stage of 3 months ago he could not even completely drain his Mana due to poor control.

The Doctor had brought the administrator of the orphanage as a young boy he will need to be cared and treated properly.

With him in his current state he could no longer afford to kept the healing. The doctor also said "he would have at most until the end of next year before his injuries would permanently affect him."

He a boy of seven was completely calm even the doctor was emotional, Kwanda had known it would be difficult the moment the Cleric could not fix him up quickly. He thanked the doctor and spoke to the head administrator Musa, about the orphanage and how he would live the next years of life.

He might have a talent for magic [no dah] however mana manipulation takes about 4 years to master according to the Administrator.

After which one can go to receive specialized training in the elements. For Kwanda, four years was just too long and too late for him to even help himself.

He focused night and day only sleeping for two hours at a time. Two hours was the minimum amount of time he needed to recover all his mana. Then he would force all his mana into the ring.

He had one more day left before he would be kicked out. He was sure that his father must have left him something or even just some Drac[money] in this ring.

As there were no wheelchairs available the doctor informed him, "He would be carted to the orphanage, tomorrow morning by an acquaintance from the Imperial College, a childhood friend of the doctors wife."

Kwanda was determined practicing the whole day and night pushing his mana, he pushed until he fainted. His whole body was bone dry, not a kick mana in his all mana points...

*******************************

by draining Mana from the body, it's links the body's 8 focal points together and creating an internal circuit.

The 8 focal Points

4 contact points

[hands and feet]

2 application point

[Brain]

[Throat]

1 source point

[Heart]

What Kwanda did was to link the final contact point. The skin is hardest focal point to open many do it in their lifetime never do it.This also gives huge amount of raw mana to user.
