Assassin Initiate

Before going out, Jane went inside one of the rooms to find something. She came back with a crystal glowing faintly blue as big as a palm. She gave the reason that it will be used in powering the animus.

After getting out through the same way, the cliff side door closed behind us. The same as it was before.

Jane came with us, giving reason that she won't leave my side from now. Sigh....how will I explain it to mother and sister.

"Shaun, I'm glad you bought a van." I said while looking at the van before us.

We directly went in the van and left the village. But, now the main problem arises. Where will Jane be staying? She would not leave my side even when I told her to. Guess tomorrow will be a hectic day.

Shaun dropped me and Jane at my home. We took the animus suitcase with us. Watching the van disappearing at the turn, I turned towards the gate. While watching the gate and Jane I just sighed and said,

"Let's get inside, just stay quite."

I tried to open the gate quietly but it was locked from the inside. How did it get locked? I remember leaving it open. Then,

"Jason....is that you?? Where did you go this late at night??" Mom's voice came from the balcony.

Hurriedly I replied, "Yes, its me mom. I just had to take care of something this late at night."

"Wait a minute, I will open the door for you." She said while coming downwards.

OH GOD!! How will I explain about Jane to her?? Should I tell she is my maid?? or a friend?? or a friend's sister?? or just someone who I met on streets???

*Clank*

The lock was unlocked and gate opened.

"Jason, I'm glad you are alright. Now, tell me who is she??" Her first of sentence showed concern, but second part was more like a demand.

"Umm, She is a friend of mine. She just came from abroad but due to losing her passport, she can't get a hotel. That's why, I brought her here." I answered what just came to mind.

"Then, what took you so much time??" Oh, mom she is not a burglar. But guessing what she is wearing, she might look like one.

"We were looking for her lost things, she lost her everything. A taxi driver scammed her, he drove away with her luggage when she went out of taxi to get something." This should be enough explanation.

"Well that's fine. Now then." She then turned towards Jane and said,

"Nice to meet you, myself Jenna Bourne. Mother of this guy here. I'm quite sorry, to hear what happened to you. Feel free to stay here." Ah, I knew my mom was kind, but kind enough to let a stranger stay? I didn't know that.

"My name is Jane Von Terasta. You can call me Jane. Thank you Mrs. Bourne. I'm truly grateful that you are allowing me to stay here." Jane said while bowing lightly.

"Okay okay, hurry up and come inside, the wind is cold outside. Jason, take her to the guest room. We will continue the discussions tomorrow."

I just took Jane with me and told her not to disturb me when she intend to stay in my room and sent her to the guest room.

While laying on bed, I thought about various things. Jane is clearly not human, then as her master, what does it make me? Am I not human? and also about mother, Jane says she is not my mother, I don't want to believe it, but there are facts. This weird feeling in me, this maid being so loyal to me, that sound in my head when I entered animus....will I hear it again when I enter the animus??

Thinking these things, I fell asleep.

Next day

As soon as I woke up and opened my eyes, I found myself being stared with a pair of red and blue eyes. As I wanted to shout, those eyes moved away a little and showed Jane's face.

"Good morning Young Master." she said and bowed. This type of morning greeting I once saw in T.V. , The lord wakes up, maid wishes him good morning, and brings all the daily morning routine things.

Now that I felt it, it does feels good.

"Good morning Jane, just next time don't do this thing, it nearly scared me to death."

I got up from bed, and went to do my daily morning things. Jane tried to help me with those saying those were her duties. But I rejected her completely. Why?? Tell me how would you feel being an a.d.u.l.t but your teeth are being brushed by someone else. It's EMBARRA.S.SING....

Anyway, getting ready(with difficulties) I went downstairs. But, Jane still helped me with clothing, those eyes of her when she said,

"Young Master, if I'm not even able to help you with even one task, I'm a failure as a maid. I should just commit suicide." those were scary.

...

...

Currently, I'm at the Sunnyside Mall, the biggest in the city, or to be precise opposite of it. Why?? cause during breakfast,

"Jason, why don't you go and get Jane some new clothes?? She is a woman, so she must be uncomfortable wearing same clothes. And besides, her current dressup, this tight fitting suit, seems....different."

Currently, I'm walking the street in search of a women's clothes shop. Although many clothes shop did entered my vision, they were all for men's and children.

"Young Master, there is no need to purchase clothes for me." Jane who was walking a step behind my right said to me.

"No, mom is right. you stand out in those clothes too much. And I think I told you not to call me Young Master when we are out." I said while looking at other people. Everyone, whether man or woman had their gaze fixed on Jane. I even saw a man running in an electricity pole while looking at Jane.

"But then what will I call you Young Master?"

"Anything is fine....No, on a second thought, it's not. You will again come up with something weird. Just call me Sir, that will work."

During this all, I spotted a Female oriented clothes shop, and left the choosing of dress on the clerk. I specifically told her to keep everything in budget. The clerk was happy to dress a beauty like Jane.

After all the choosing, the final one was a Black and white one piece with black being the main color and white on collar, at sleeves, and on waist. She had white stockings, with black shoes on. Overall, she looks perfect. And with her being maid, this looks marvelous. We completed the purchase, although it was quite more expensive than my request, I guess it was worth it.

"Let's go home. I guess it's time to set up the animus." I said to the maid.

"Yes Young Master." She answered.
