In the era of heavy pollution when factories proliferated in the Galar region, the air became severely contaminated. Weezing and Koffing, who naturally feed on waste gases in the air, underwent a unique evolution in this heavily polluted era.

Unlike regular Weezing, which absorbs and produces toxic gases, Galar’s Weezing absorbs pollution components from the atmosphere, using polluted air and toxic gases as food.

And these inhaled gases are filtered through special organs within their bodies, similar to how human cells absorb nutrients. They selectively absorb substances that are beneficial to themselves while expelling waste.

For them, toxic gases and waste are food, and fresh air within the body is waste.

The chimneys on their heads release fresh air, which, due to the purification process, becomes incredibly clean and fresh. This is how Galarian Weezing and Koffing expel waste.

Due to regional forms, Galar’s Weezing also gained the Poison/ Fairy dual type. After obtaining the Pixie Plate, this type of Pokémon that filters air was born.

The toxins accumulated within Galarian Weezing’s body can transform into highly concentrated toxic gas that leaks from its body, forming unique whiskers that float around their mouths.

However, this gas was under the control of Galarian Weezing and normally wouldn’t disperse. But when someone acts recklessly, it can’t be helped.
