Chapter 85: Back to Fu’er Xing

Fu Chen felt the warmth on his lips and glanced at Ye Jin helplessly. He immediately hugged Ye Jin and deepened the kiss. The two hugged and kissed for a long time; once Ye Jin couldn’t breathe, they reluctantly separated.

Fu Chen stroked Ye Jin’s ruddy lips with his palm and said helplessly, “What’s the point? There is going to be a swarm of Zerg encirclements ushered in Fu’er Xing. It is now safer to send you away.”

Ye Jin looked at Fu Chen seriously and said, “You can’t just help me make a decision. If you secretly knock me out and send me away, I won’t forgive you. Maybe I’ll even run over here by myself. Don’t you think it’s more dangerous? So it’s safest to put it in front of you, don’t you think?”

Listening to Ye Jin’s words, Fu Chen felt a deep helplessness in his heart. He stopped, knowing that he could no longer persuade him. Eventually, he had to sigh and said, “Then, I won’t persuade you anymore, but you have to remember to stay in a safe place after returning to Fu’er Xing. Don’t run around. I will send someone to protect you.”

Ye Jin grinned with joy when he heard the words and immediately raised his head and printed a kiss on Fu Chen’s cheek. After that, he insisted on pulling Fu Chen aside to do a physical examination.

After confirming that there was really no problem, he returned to the room again. When Fu Chen returned to the room, he also told Ye Jin about the mental storm in his coma.

“I thought it meant that you used the energy and mental power in your body to resist the aftermath of the explosion, so it caused a mental disorder, and you fell into a coma. My medicinal diet and medicinal wine soothed the mental storm in your consciousness and healed the damage to your mental power and abilities.” Ye Jin finished listening to Fu Chen’s final summary.

Fu Chen nodded and agreed with Ye Jin’s summary of the coma, and then said, “The effect of your medicinal wine seems to be helpful to my mental power. Combined with the effect of medicinal cuisine, the two can almost be compared with the ancestors of your family.”

When Ye Jin heard Fu Chen’s words, he frowned and thought for a while: “Then in that case, if you study the functions of medicinal wine and medicinal diet, maybe you can use medicinal diet and medicinal wine to develop special medicines for the treatment of mental and ability disorders. In this case, the soldiers can suffer fewer crimes and don’t have to wait to die at a young age, but I don’t know if they are willing to let me participate.”

Of course, Fu Chen also thought of this, but he didn’t know how to mention it. After all, medicinal cuisine and medicinal wine were studied hard by Ye Jin. He didn’t want to force Ye Jin to hand over these two things. After all, Ye Jin’s decision to agree to start a school to teach everyone to make dishes was already a huge concession, but he didn’t expect Ye Jin to come up with this idea by himself.

Fu Chen felt a moving emotion surging in his chest, so he didn’t know what to say for a while, so he could only hold Ye Jin tightly in his arms with excitement and keep kissing the top of his hair.

After a while, Fu Chen calmed down and said, “Thank you, Xiao Jin, I’m really happy and grateful that you can think of this. Thank you!”

Hearing this, Ye Jin patted Fu Chen lightly on the back and said firmly: “What do you mean; thank you? I am also a citizen of the empire, and I want to do my part for the empire.”

After that, the two took a break in the room, chatting about recent events together, waiting for the spacecraft to arrive at Fu’er Xing.

Meanwhile,  the StarNet was already frightened by the situation where Fu’er Xing was surrounded by the Zerg, and they cursed the imperial family and the military on the StarNet for not doing anything.

[I really didn’t expect that the empire would be forced to this extent; would even Fu’er Xing be unable to hold it? I don’t know what the imperial army and the royal family will do. Fu’er Xing is only three or four days away from the Imperial Capital. If Fu’er Xing can’t hold it in, won’t the Zerg attack the Imperial Capital soon?】

[I don’t know what the military and royal family of the empire do. The taxes we pay every year can’t be fed to dogs. If Fu’er Xing can’t hold it, can our imperial capital still count on them to hold it? Am I feeding a group of wine bags and rice bags with the taxes I pay every year?】

[Isn’t Admiral Fu guarding Fu’er Xing? How could you suddenly be surrounded by Zerg? Where is Admiral Fu?】

[I haven’t seen the news of Admiral Fu appearing on StarNet for a while, and now suddenly there is news of the siege of Fu’er Xing. Likewise, I haven’t seen the admiral’s exclusive mecha in many battlefields. Where did Admiral Fu go?】

[I just want to know what happened. Why didn’t the admiral appear at such a moment of crisis? Did he really abandon Fu’er Xing and the soldiers and escape alone?】

[Don’t talk nonsense upstairs! When did the admiral abandon his comrades and run away after so many years of war? When did the admiral not rush to the forefront and fight hard?】

[Then tell me why the admiral didn’t show up? Where did he go at such a moment of crisis?】

Everyone on StarNet kept talking and cursing about the battle situation on the front line, and the most concerning thing was that Fu’er Xing was surrounded by the Zerg army, but Fu Chen never showed up, and even finally rushed to the hot search.

No matter how lively the StarNet was, Ye Jin and Fu Chen didn’t pay attention to it.

At this time, the two of them had just returned to Fu’er Xing, and when they walked out of the spacecraft, Ye Jin was startled by the army of Zerg scattered around the planet.

Looking at a large area of ugly Zerg running towards a few people in front of them, their faces turned pale with fright.

Fu Chen looked at the few Zerg races that were about to rush in front of him and hurriedly pulled Ye Jin behind him, stretched out his hand, and wiped out the five or six Zerg races in front of him with a wave.

Ye Jin looked at the huge and ugly Zergs that were killed instantly and breathed a sigh of relief. He cautiously walked out from behind Fu Chen and anxiously took Fu Chen’s arm and said,

“Ah, Chen, let’s hurry up and help Adjutant Xiao and the others. Looking at so many frontal zerg races here, I’m afraid they won’t be able to stand it anymore.”

Fu Chen glanced at Ye Jin’s pale face in fright, tightened Ye Jin’s hand a little distressed and nodded, and walked forward quickly while saying, “Xiao Jin, I will send you to a safe place before I can help them. You have to pay attention to your own safety, okay?”

Ye Jin was pulled forward quickly by Fu Chen. Along the way, there were groups of Zerg armies with teeth and claws. Seeing them walking in, the Zergs quickly rushed to the two of them to do something, but they were all killed by Fu Chen using his spiritual power.

After they arrived at the residence where the residents of Fu’er Xing were placed, Fu Chen arranged the residence for Ye Jin, left two soldiers to protect Ye Jin, and immediately rushed to the front line.

Ye Jin looked at Fu Chen’s back as he left and went to the room with some worry. Since this shelter is temporary, no one can have more than one room, and the room can only accommodate a cabinet and a bed. The layout was quite simple.

Of course, Ye Jin was not in the mood to pay attention to his residence now. He sat by the bed and kept looking out restlessly. The explosions that come from time to time in his ears make him even more anxious. He started to worry.

After a few moments, Ye Jin couldn’t sit still. He opened the door of the room and took two soldiers out, and walked around near the settlement.

He found that there was a hospital behind the settlement where the wounded were being transported. Many of them had either missing arms or broken legs. The medical staff carried them into the hospital, and there were many young people in civilian clothes who looked like local people helping.

Ye Jin stood at the door of the hospital and watched for a while. Only when he heard the hoarse voice of the soldiers following behind did he realize that he had been standing here in tears for a long time.

And many of the people who helped at the door of the hospital or in the hall looked in his direction, intentionally or unintentionally, and the young girl who recognized Ye Jin looked at Ye Jin with bright eyes. She looked surprised and excited, but because the wounded had to be taken care of, she didn’t run over and say anything.

Ye Jin stretched out his hand and wiped his face indiscriminately. After wiping away his tears, he walked quickly to the door of the hospital and said to the girl, who had just looked at him with excitement, “Hello, I’m here to help. Do I need to go through any formalities?”

The girl who was still taking care of the wounded and occasionally peeping at Ye Jin was taken aback when she heard Ye Jin’s voice. She looked up at Ye Jin with an embarrassed face and whispered, “Xiao Jin, are you here to help? In fact, there is no need to go through the formalities; just go to the service desk to register.”

After Ye Jin nodded and thanked her with a gentle expression, he took the two soldiers to register. When he came back and saw a medical staff member carrying a stretcher back and yelling for help, Ye Jin hurriedly ran over to help.

Ye Jin spent a busy day in the hospital here, and he couldn’t hold on until late at night before being persuaded by the two soldiers who followed him to go back. When he returned to his residence, he didn’t even have the energy to take care of himself, so the moment he lay on his back on the bed, he fell asleep.

The next day, Ye Jin came to the hospital early in the morning to help, but found that the soldiers who were sent back today were all unconscious, and the medical staff shook their heads after the examination and put them in the medical warehouse and left them alone.

Ye Jin looked at everyone. Feeling the heavy atmosphere, he decided to go to the person in charge of the hospital after contemplating for a while.

When Ye Jin came to the dean’s office, the two discussed for an hour. After Ye Jin came out again, he continued helping in the hospital while the dean hurriedly summoned people. At the same time, he reported to the person in charge of the resettlement center to fulfill Ye Jin’s request to set up the kitchen.

As soon as the other party heard Ye Jin’s name, they agreed without even thinking about it and immediately sent someone to help them build a temporary kitchen.

When Ye Jin came to the hospital the next day, the medical staff, who were still sad-faced yesterday, were all looking forward to Ye Jin’s arrival, including the dean. When Ye Jin’s figure appeared, everyone ran towards him with excitement on their faces.

Ye Jin looked at the group of people around him, then glanced at the ordinary people standing around to help, and said in a somewhat embarrassed voice, “Don’t block the door. In case there are wounded people coming over, it will affect their treatment. Let’s disperse first.”

When everyone heard the words, they stepped back and gave way, and the dean waved his hands to everyone with an embarrassed expression: “Let’s go, let’s go; it’s because I didn’t think about it well. Let’s not affect everyone’s work.”

After speaking, the dean hurriedly took Ye Jin to the back of the hospital.

Ye Jin said suspiciously while following the dean back: “What’s going on today? What is everyone doing around the door early in the morning?”

The dean coughed softly when he heard the words, looking a bit embarrassed. “I didn’t plan it carefully. Yesterday, I told the higher-ups about making medicinal meals for the treatment of critical patients. Last night, someone came to start the kitchen with tools, but they were seen by the volunteers who hadn’t left. That’s why everyone is so excited.”

“After all, at this time, there is a little hope that more people can be saved, and we will have a better chance of winning the battle with the Zerg.” At the end of his speech, the dean sighed solemnly.

Ye Jin nodded, understanding the situation, and didn’t offer him a word of comfort. It’s useless to say more comforting words in this emergency. It’s better to do more practical things that can also bring hope to everyone. After all, nothing is more important than human life and military strength in times of war.

When Ye Jin took the two soldiers to the newly built kitchen, looking at the fully prepared appliances overnight, his expression was full of determination, and he immediately started to prepare and clean up the ingredients.

The dean looked at Ye Jin, who immediately busied himself, nodded expectantly with relief in his expression, and turned back to the hospital building.

Now that the hospital is very busy, it is good to have multiple people to help.
