Chapter 79: To Fulan Xing

The moment he thought of it, Ye Jin immediately ran back to Fu’s house to discuss with Old Man Fu. He planned to take his apprentices to make medicinal meals for wounded soldiers on the front line. Now he has to go back to Old Man Fu to discuss the feasibility.

“What did you say? You are going to cook for the wounded on the front line?”

In the study, Old Man Fu looked at Ye Jin’s persistent face in surprise and disapproval, not quite understanding his thought process.

Ye Jin faced the old man’s look of disapproval and explained patiently: “Grandpa, I mean to give them a medicated diet in the back so that they can treat the wounded as soon as possible. Otherwise, if the treatment is not timely, they will have to endure torture, which may aggravate the injury. Isn’t the point of my research on medical cuisine about helping everyone?”

Old Man Fu looked at Ye Jin with a persistent face, sighed in his heart. After meditating for a long time, he asked again: “Are you sure you want to go to the front line? It may be very dangerous. If you go to the front line, it will be too late. What if you encounter a raid?”

Ye Jin looked at the old man who cared about him so much, feeling was a warmth in his heart. But thinking of Fu Chen and the soldiers who were fighting on the front line, Ye Jin nodded affirmatively and said, “I’m going. I want to do my part to help him and them.”

Ye Jin changed his tone at the end. Although he changed his tone in time, Old Man Fu was old and refined. How could he not hear the turning point in his words?

But seeing Ye Jin’s persistence, the old man was silent for a while and sighed: “You let me think about it, and if you really want to go, you should first discuss it with your grandfather. You are not alone now after all.”

Ye Jin heard Old Man Fu’s softened tone, looked at the old man with shining eyes, nodded, and said happily: “Okay, I know Grandpa, and I’m sure Grandpa will support my decision.”

“You, let’s think about how to persuade your grandfather’s stubborn old man first.” Old Man Fu looked at Ye Jin’s expression and sighed in his heart. Yet still pointed to Ye Jin with a smile on his face.

Ye Jin smiled at Old Man Fu and said, “Grandpa, I’ll take it as if you agreed. I’ll send a newsletter to Grandpa and arrange for someone to pack up by the way.”

After speaking, Ye Jin ran back to the room to arrange for himself.

Old Man Fu looked at Ye Jin’s cheerful back and shook his head with tears and laughter. Although he didn’t want him to take risks on the front line, he also hoped that this child could go to the front line to help the soldiers who defended the country, even if it brought them a little hope. It’s better than letting those soldiers who worked hard for the empire endure pain day and night after being injured.

Meanwhile, Ye Jin was in the room to communicate with Old Man Ye.

As a result, as soon as Ye Jin mentioned that he was going to the front line, he was opposed by Old man Ye, his uncles, aunts and cousins.

Ye Jin told them that it took more than an hour to exhaust his mouth before everyone agreed, but Ye Jin was asked to send them a letter every once in a while to report peace. After Ye Jin agreed, they agreed to let him go, but they still made Ye Lin’an to follow to be rest assured.

After Ye Jin discussed with her family, he quickly discussed with the apprentices in the store on what to pack, and asked everyone’s intentions. If you don’t want to go, you can stay in the Imperial Star to watch the store.

When Yu Nian and the others heard Ye Jin’s thoughts, they were very surprised at his decision, but they didn’t show it outwardly. They all said that they will think about it and remain silent.

Ye Jin didn’t look surprised at everyone’s reaction. After all, it’s not going out to play. It’s the front line. It’s dangerous. If there is any accident or death, it’s an unpredictable accident, so it’s normal to think carefully.

Ye Jin thought of this and said, “It’s okay. After all, it’s not going out to play. Let’s think about it. Just tell me when you make a decision tomorrow. Even if you don’t want to go, it doesn’t matter. You can stay in the Imperial Star to see the store and practice your skills by the way.”

After Ye Jin finished speaking, he clapped her hands and said, “Don’t look so dull. Raise your spirits! Guests will be arriving soon.”

Yu Nian and the others looked at Ye Jin’s open-minded smiling face, their thoughts were a little confused and a little embarrassed. After all, Yu Nian succeeded in stalking the teacher at the beginning, but now that the master is in need, he hesitates because of his own concerns.

Thinking of this, Yu Nian gritted his teeth and turned to look at Ye Jin and said, “Master, I have thought about it, and I have decided to go to the front line with you.”

When Ye Jin, who was thinking about the dishes at this moment, suddenly heard Yu Nian’s words, he looked at him in surprise: “Have you decided so quickly? Are you not going to think about it carefully? And you haven’t told your family yet, will they agree with you to go?”

Yu Nian said, “Master, don’t worry, I can convince them, and I will definitely be the one who accompanies you to the front line.”

Ye Jin looked at Yu Nian with a sunny smile and nodded with a smile on his face: “Okay, I’m waiting for your good news.”

While the two of them were talking, the guests who had made an appointment in the store had already arrived. Ye Jin no longer needed to cook in the store and only occasionally taught a few apprentices new dishes.

Other times, he was studying medicinal meals and the like, and during this period, Ye Xu also came to see Ye Jin and said he wanted to go together.

I wonder if someone took the lead, as right before the store closed, the rest of them also made up their minds to come to Ye Jin and decided to come with him.

Ye Jin looked at everyone who had made up their mind to go with him with a complicated expression. He didn’t know what to say for a while, but he was certainly moved.

He looked at everyone and asked again: “Do you really decide to go to the front line with me? Although special dishes are made for everyone, there may also be dangers. Maybe when the time comes, those who protect us may not be able to take care of us. Will your family be willing to let you go?”

Except for Ye Xu and Ye Lin’an, who had already agreed with their families, Yu Nian had already persuaded his family to agree to his trip while he was resting, while others said they could persuade their families to agree to allow them to go to the front line.

Ye Jin looked at everyone’s firm expression and said emotionally: “Well, then, when you convince your family to come to me again, we will have to leave the day after tomorrow.”

The next day, Ye Jin came to the store as usual and watched everyone’s excited and busy selves in the back kitchen.

When they saw him come into the kitchen, they greeted him happily, while Yu Nian said with excitement, “Master, my family has agreed that I will go to the front line with you. When they heard that we were going to help the wounded make special dishes, they were very supportive.”

Ye Jin was surprised and very happy when he heard this. After he made sure that everyone could go, Ye Jin discussed the things to pack.

After the things to be brought were determined, he asked Ye Lin’an to close the reservation process for tomorrow and to explain that the store closed early today.

When Ye Jin and Ye Lin’an got on the spaceship arranged by Old Man Fu, Old Man Fu dialed Fu Chen’s communication and told him where Ye Jin was going.

In fact, Ye Jin originally planned to group the apprentices to the front line of the Zerg border where Li Zhaoxi was located, but considering everyone’s safety issues, he gave up this plan and asked everyone to act together.

The main task is to send the prepared dishes to the front line together, and this time Ye Jin was followed by his apprentices and Ye Lin’an, as for the Changlin and others, they are tasked to stay and watch by.

After Ye Jin and the others came to Fulan Xing, which was very close to the battlefield in a spaceship, they were taken to the logistics office by Fu Chen, who had received the news and came to pick them up, and introduced them to the Minister of Logistics.

After arranging their accommodations, Fu Chen pulled Ye Jin back to his residence in Fulan Xing with a dark face. Ye Lin’an watched the two leave, thinking that they hadn’t seen each other for a long time, so he didn’t stop them.

Ye Jin followed Fu Chen all the way back to his residence. Looking at the house like a single dormitory, Ye Jin secretly observed it curiously for a while. But seeing Fu Chen’s dark complexion, he was a little nervous and didn’t dare to look carefully. Instead, he cautiously reached out and tugged on the hem of Fu Chen’s coat.

After Fu Chen took Ye Jin back to his residence, he originally wanted to scold him so that he could realize his mistake, but now that he felt the hand that was tugging onto his coat, his face was a bit unsteady and he sighed in his heart.

He turned around and looked at Ye Jin, who looked aggrieved and cautious, and stretched out his hand to take him into his arms.

Ye Jin was startled by Fu Chen’s sudden embrace, but stretched out his hand to rub Fu Chen’s back. After the two hugged each other for a long time, Fu Chen let go and sat down by the bed, still holding Ye Jin’s hand.

Ye Jin sat by the bed with Fu Chen, looking at Fu Chen, whose complexion had improved a lot. Holding Fu Chen’s arm cautiously, he asked, “Are you angry? Don’t you want to see me?”

Fu Chen looked at Ye Jin’s aggrieved expression and sighed softly: “I do want to see you, but don’t you know how dangerous it is here? What if someone doesn’t pay attention to you and something happens to you? Haven’t you thought about this possibility?”

Ye Jin looked at Fu Chen with a look of disapproval and worry, and tears came out of his nose uncontrollably. Of course, it was not because Fu Chen was fierce, but because he knew that Fu Chen cared about him, and these cross-examinations of him were only out of concern, which gave Ye Jin a catharsis for Fu Chen’s worries and thoughts for months, so tears came out uncontrollably.

Fu Chen looked at Ye Jin’s sudden tears, confused. He hurriedly wiped Ye Jin’s tears while coaxing him: “Xiao Jin, don’t cry; I’m not blaming you; I’m just a little worried; I’m afraid if something happens to you, I want to pick you up too late; don’t cry; okay. Good boy.” Fu Chen said, holding Ye Jin in his arms and kissing the top of his hair.

Listening to Fu Chen’s childlike tone, Ye Jin blushed embarrassedly and waited for the tears to stop before coming out of Fu Chen’s arms and said, “Why are you treating me like a child? I just haven’t seen you for a long time so I was worried.”

“This time I want to help you. That’s why I’m here. It’s not because you’re cruel to me that I cried, and I don’t go anywhere else. I will only cook special dishes for the wounded in the logistics office, and I won’t cause you trouble.”

Listening to Ye Jin’s words, Fu Chen felt like a warm current flowing through his heart and felt warm. Looking at the persistent and silly child, there were tears on his face and eyelashes, and his eyes looked wet and moist because of the tears.

Fu Chen kissed Ye Jin’s forehead, cheeks and his distressed eyes. There was a deep love and pity in this kiss.

When Ye Jin felt Fu Chen’s kiss, the embarrassment that had disappeared in his heart came up again, but feeling Fu Chen’s love and pity for him, he didn’t want to interrupt this moment at all.

Instead, he became more determined in his heart. No matter what, he wanted to help Fu Chen and share his burdens as much as he could.
