CHAPTER II

-- ARC Complex Dropping Point

"Miss Xiao and Miss Ming, We're here. What time should I fetch you two up?" Asked the chauffeur as soon as they arrived at the mall

"We will just call you when we're done. No need to stay, we might take a while."

"Ok young Miss. I shall be off now."

The chauffeur got into the car and left.

Shiye tried to distract herself by accompanying Li Wei who is now on her Shopping Spree Mode, Yet when she sees a couple, she suddenly remember her happy moments with Chen Yan. Unable to take the feelings anymore, Shiye ran to the first floor public bathroom.

On the other side, A young man in his mid-twenties with an aura of a king, disguise himself as a normal random people inside the complex pretending to be a buyer to conduct some investigation. As he was to enter a shoe store, a shadow of a woman ran past him and before he had the chance to stop her, he found himself on the floor of the store entrance bewildered by the woman's crying face as her shadow disappearing from his sight. It took him quite some time to recover what just happened an as he was about to stand up, he looked down at his right hand, there was a blue handkerchief on top.

Looking at the man on the floor for very long time with an intention of not getting up any moment soon, the security personnel can't take the sight of him sitting outside anymore so he approach him, waking the man up in his trance state.

"Excuse me sir, but you can't just sit here. This is an entrance doorway please stand up."

Jungli, having been disturbed by the personnel only nodded while standing up grabbing the handkerchief altogether. Without any words to say, Jungli left the store.

He went to the bas.e.m.e.nt parking where his driver and secretary are waiting patiently.

"Young Master, Your Grandfather has arrived this morning and he requested your presence at the Ancestral Mansion."

Jungli sigh in frustration grabbing a white sweatshirt at the back of the car before replying.

"Proceed at the mansion. Message Butler min that I will be there at an hour…"

Feeling Jungli's hesitation, Hao Feng, Jungli's secretary as well as high school friend asks.

"Is there anything else sire?"

"Know the brand of this handkerchief and its owner's detail. It must a complete detail. I want this be done by the end of the day."

Jungli stared at the name tailored at the end corner of the Serviette before handling it to Hao Feng.

"As you wish Master"

Jungli nodded before turning to the side of the window staring outside while saying "Interesting."

After that, the car drove off.

-- ARC Complex First Floor Restroom.

Shiye cried silently inside one of the stalls trying hard not to make a whimper as it will scare those who enter the restroom thinking it was haunted. She tried to calm herself walking out of the stalls to wash her now red-eyed face. As she rummages through her pocket, she realized that her favourite handkerchief was gone. She frowned then went to the stall where she was earlier but, to her disappointment, the handkerchief is nowhere to be found. She left the restroom with a sulked face as she tried to remember where she put her precious serviette.

As she went out, her phone rang with the familiar set ringtone for one certain person. Taking the phone out of her pocket reluctantly, she answered it taking the phone away to her ears as Li Wei's abhorrence scream that could break the Great Wall of China echoed as soon as she answers the phone.

"Ming Shiye!!!

Where have you been!? Does it take an hour to go to the restroom?

Your blind date left after waiting for you so long. For Pete's sake, answer me.

Where are you now? Are you still in the restroom? I'll fetch you up.

I'm hungry! Let's take our lunch at brother Min's restaurant. It serves the best and the yummiest crayfish at Imperial."

Shiye sighs before answering "I'm at the restroom entrance. Wait for me at the store."

She didn't give Li Wei the chance to answer as she presses the end call button after she stated her reply.

She started to walk towards the store of Parisian, she vowed to herself that it would be the last time she will cry for Yan. With resolute, she walked with a smile as if the girl from earlier did not exist.

As she arrives, she approaches Li Wei with a smile in which startled her dear friend.

"Ah Ye! Are… Are you okay? Why is your eyes wet and why are you smiling?"

"Please stop smiling. It's creeping me out."

Shiye closed her eyes then after she opened it, she gives Li Wei her sincere and true smile.

"Li Wei, I've decided to move-on and free myself from the sorrow my heartbreak brought for me.

I want to change. Will you help me?"

Li Wei was shock for a moment before regaining her senses and replying.

"Of course I would help you, you're my best friend. But, will you still be lenient with them or are you insinuating revenge?"

"No, I won't take revenge. However, if they did something that crosses my bottom line, I won't hesitate to declare vengeance."

"Just what happened at the restroom that made you like this?" Li Wei went to Shiye and hugs her. Her voice showed her worry.

"I'm really okay. When I cry at the restroom earlier, I realized that he's not worthy to be cried of. I was once a fool in love but now, I won't fall for someone like Chen Yan. Or rather, I won't fall for someone again."

Shiye uttered with resolute, showing an expression that 'nothing can change my decision'.

"I'm glad to know. Enough of this drama, let's go and eat lunch. I'm starving…."

Shiye smiled at Li Wei's pouting face while shaking her head.

-- Xian Min Restaurant

"This way Madam" A waiter guided them to their reserved seat as soon as they arrived at the restaurant. Some of the staff that had been long employed in the restaurant recognizes Li Wei as Xuan Min's Younger sister so they bow their heads to show respect to their boss's sister.

Arriving at a door with an engraved number 9 on it, the waiter opened the door for them and let Li Wei and Shiye walk inside first before entering. After seeing that they have seated comfortably, the waiter ask Li Wei on what she would like to order.

"What would you like to have Young Miss?"

"I want Chan-an, Dumplings and Spicy Crayfish."

Li Wei then turned to Shiye's side.

"What about you Ah Ye? What would you like?"

"Can I have hotpot Wei-Wei?"

"You silly!! Of course you can."

Li Wei looks up at the waiter.

"And a Hotpot too. Thanks"

"Ok Ma'am. Your orders will arrive shortly."

The waiter bowed then left.

"Ah Ye, Please…. tell me what happened at the restroom. I am 50% convinced about what you said earlier. Share it with me please."

Shiye only sigh before looking unto her with mixed emotions evident in her eyes.

"I don't know too. When I was crying I felt like someone was saying to me 'Stop crying and moved on. Be strong.' I don't understand the feeling but it unknowingly gives me a sense of warmth and love. It made me stop crying."

"Oh... Also, when I was about to wipe off my tears, I realized my favourite handkerchief was gone."

Li Wei took some time to process Shiye's Words before nodding at Shiye's words.

"Shiye, you're gifted and you're unique. Don't waste your life to that useless bastard. Maybe someday, someone will come to love you and cherish you more than how bastard Yan used to be. And if that happens I want you to never let him go."

"That won't happen."

"Why not?"

"I don't think there's a person in this world that could love me wholeheartedly. Except for my mother, that is."

"Don't say like that. You never know what the future has in store for you."

After chatting for awhile, the foods arrived and Li Wei's mouth watered instantly, looking like she hasn't been able to eat those for a year.

"Thanks"

Shiye thanked the waiter and the latter only bowed as a reply and left.

"Let's eat"

"Yeah"
