APJ CHAPTER 99 A MISUNDERSTANDING

The campaign this time clearly has a lot to do with Shayna and King, and even these underlings have noticed it.

Unaware of them being Lunarians, Beasts Pirates know that they have a sibling-like relationship. But that doesn’t matter, as there were many powerful individuals with eccentricities. Shayna and King just happen to not like showing their faces.

For the ordinary residents within the Beasts Pirates’ territory, their’ external battles were an investment opportunity. For them, it was something that determined their position within the crew.

At the beginning, Kaido made one thing clear: as long as they have courage, they could challenge the position of the All-Stars. If they could defeat their opponents, they would become the new All-Star.

However, except for a few overconfident individuals who tried at the beginning, no one else had such an idea. Losing the challenge would result in harsh beatings.

Besides, their promotion mechanism was entirely determined by strength, and the quickest way to increase their strength was through Arceus’ bestowal. No matter whether it is ability or something else, it could bring qualitative changes in their strength.

So far, their crew mate who drew Splash has become the most outstanding scout, and the chance to draw is determined by the contribution in each battle. Fighting is the only way to obtain contribution.

If Shayna and King were to take out all the enemies, then it would be problematic for them.

“I will leave them to you.”

After saying this, King left this place. Organ Dealing Assassination Group often captures various targets, including ordinary humans with massive physiques, not to mention creatures like the miraculous half-giant hybrids. Therefore, they have widened the passage below to accommodate them.

It was large enough for King to fly freely in his Human-Beast form, and it would become their greatest regret.

The flames behind King’s back almost extinguished, demonstrating that the Lunarians’ speed had reached the peak. Due to the ongoing battle outside, regular members were pulled away to fight against the Beasts Pirates. Those who were able to stay in this safe zone below were mostly high-ranking members of the organization.

So King launched an indiscriminate attack directly. Shayna’s speed was even faster than his, and with Shayna in her fully accelerated state, he couldn’t catch up with her. The structure here was becoming more complex, so King and Shayna decided to split up and act separately.

Observation Haki could detect the aura of nearby living beings, but these people were no different to Shayna. Not everyone’s Observation Haki was like Fujitora, able to analyze the differences in everyone around him.

She could determine the aura of a few familiar individuals, but everyone here was a stranger. Even if she could sense the nearby auras, she didn’t know who these people were.

However, as she moved quickly, she sensed the presence of a group of people on the move. Most of them were confined to a certain area, and their speed and range of movement were not quite right.

Those people seemed to be directly below her, but the stairs here were irregular, and she couldn’t find a way down for a moment. Her Observation Haki doesn’t have a big range, so she simply stamped her feet down.

Sometimes, a clear path may not exist, but as more people travel in a certain direction, a path is naturally formed. In situations where a path cannot be found, it is best to create one for oneself.

And below her, she found Coco, who was in the process of transferring important goods. After a few scattered gunshots, these people ceased to resist.

Although they were the manager’s trusted aides and had stronger abilities than the outside grunts, they were only upgraded from grunts to elite soldiers, which made no difference to Shayna.

“Why, what have we done to offend you? Why do you want to kill us all?”

Up until now, Coco still didn’t know why the Beasts Pirates attacked their place, and it seemed that they had no intention of taking prisoners, as they only sent in their deadliest operatives.

Ignoring his question, Shayna showed no interest in providing any explanation. So, the second-in-command of this organization died with a head full of questions. Then Shayna looked at the several iron cages covered with black cloth at the back.

The fact that they were carrying these items even while attempting to flee suggests that they were of high value.

The first cloth was covering boxes filled with unknown liquids which contained organs from various parts of the body. Shayna just glanced at them and covered them up, while the cages behind were filled with living people.

Their physique was robust, without any parts missing, and their appearance was decent regardless of gender. Actually, their business originally has nothing to do with appearance. After all, they only care about functionality, and as long as they are useful.

However, the organs of such people can be sold at higher prices, and the privileged class from various places are always willing to pay a higher price for them. And the last cage contained the she-wolf Mink that was being kept separately.

The special handcuffs were made of heat-resistant rubber as they would not use anesthetics or sedatives unless necessary, as it was believed that this would damage internal organs.

Minks are an inherently warrior-like race. Not to mention their elite warriors, even the fighting ability of their old and weak, women and children is greater than that of ordinary adult males.

Heat-resistant rubber was used to counteract their ability to discharge electricity as Minks could generate powerful static electricity through the friction between their fur. Although it is called static electricity, after training, its power was no different from that of lightning.

This Mink is not very old, but her ability to discharge electricity has caused them considerable trouble.

Although Shayna came for revenge, she would not go so far as to indiscriminately kill innocent people. The iron cages that prisoned them couldn’t obstruct Shayna, and she easily broke them with her bare hands.

“Find a place to hide and don’t run around. Come out when it’s safe outside,” she said.

Then, she did not waste time taking care of these people. After unlocking their chains, she had no intention of dealing with the rest of their affairs. Even if the people of Beast Pirates came, the prisoner’s clothes on these people already indicates their identity.

Soon afterwards, Shayna began chasing again. However, not everyone listened to her, such as the she-wolf Mink. After being freed from her restraints, she began following Shayna’s smell.

Minks’ isolation from the outside world was comparable to that of Wano Country. However, they were passive in that regard. Due to the nature of Zou Island, outsiders had little opportunity to find it, and even if they did, the chances of landing on it were slim.

Minks who live on Zou Island have a lack of understanding about the outside world, and the outside world also lacks understanding about them. For example, outsiders have always believed that the Minks despise humans, but in reality, the Minks are a very friendly race. In their eyes, humans are like hairless monkeys.

And this particular young Mink left Zou Island because of her longing for the outside world. She doesn’t know enough about the world, so Shayna’s Human-Beast form seems to have led her to a misunderstanding.
